American Students do not stop drinking

Dear editor,

I am a Spanish student from Albacete and I am studying here because in my city there is not a university. Therefore I had to move to live near the University of Alicante. When I moved here, I rented a house to share with friends and I hoped it was a quite area.

However, at the beginning of the year, two houses close to mine were rented by American students on Erasmus programmes. Since they arrived to our neighbourhood, nobody can sleep because it has become a noisy area due to the loud music and people.

Americans are always inviting people to their homes and almost every night, they organize parties until early hours in the morning. They get drunk in our condominium and do not take care of the garden.

For this reason, I and some neighbours want to complain to the town council of San Vicente del Raspeig. I don’t understand them. Do they come here to study or just to drink?
