Britons in Spain should learn Spanish.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I'd like to make a complaint on the way newspapers in particular and media in general speak about how Britons in Spain have so many problems to apply to the administrations or just addressing ordinary people on ordinary things.
I'm Spanish and I live in Spain and I do lots of efforts to speak English in a correct way and I'm afraid Britons are not doing enough to learn Spanish and they're living in Spain.
I can understand they have everything in English in Spain, I mean, shopping centers, TV satellite network, clubs, bars, ironmongers, etc, and mostly on the Costa Blanca where a huge British community is living right now, but what I cannot understand at all is that they don't make an effort to speak Spanish. Doing that I think they're diminishing Spanish people.
When we travel to England, lovely place no doubt, I try to be understood in English and I think the others would have to do the same way. This way most of the problem British people face here would disappear, they will be treated in a better way by Spaniards and moreover, they discover the beautiful Spain, as I did with their beautiful England.
So I strongly recommend English newspapers and media in Spain to encourage Britons to learn Spanish instead of complaining on how they’re not understood in Spain.
