Integration

Dear editor,
One week ago , I visited with my family Benidorm and I got surprised and angry.
I am a Spanish citizen as my parents but they do not speak any word in english.
I was waiting for them in my car while they were buying some pizzas at one restaurant close to the beach area.
My parents came back with long faces and without pizzas. They told to me that the saleswoman was all the time talking to them in english, and not only she was not speaking in spanish but also she become to get angry with my parents.
People in the line was complaining, all of them foreigners, and my parents decided to go out.
They wished to go to another place but I went to the restaurant and I asked in spanish too. Then the saleswoman, very young and foreigner, was talking to me in a fast english and bad manners.
So I asked in english for the Boss and I told him that I wish to write a complaint.I wrote about the bad service that they were offering to the spanish clients in our own country or clients who does not speak english, using a person who did not want or could speak spanish.
I told about that to some jobmates and they said that it was usual in some areas in Benidorm.
That is way I would like to suggest to the foreign community in Benidorm that they should help us to stop that bad practices, because it does not help us to integrate both communities.

Yours Faithfully.
Jose Antonio.
